Overview of role:
Join us as Lead Project Manager for the next phase of the Bendigo Water Reclamation Plant upgrades. With concept design complete, this is a pivotal opportunity to drive delivery of a major infrastructure project.
You’ll lead a skilled team, manage approvals, procurement and stakeholder engagement, and guide the project through to government endorsement. Ideal for someone with strong construction project experience, particularly in wastewater, and proven leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Lead Project Manager, you’ll be accountable for:
- Project development and delivery through internal/external approvals, procurement, tender, award, design, construction and commissioning.
- Manage the project delivery approach, lead all procurement phases, including tender review and negotiation, and oversee delivery contracts for Phase 2 of the Bendigo WRP upgrades.
- Effectively lead a team to deliver the project by coordinating the work of a range of internal and external resources, including technical specialists, consultancies and contractors.
- Demonstrate highly developed problem solving, critical thinking, negotiation and facilitation skills with stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
About you:
- Specialist knowledge and experience in managing large construction projects (10+ years).
- Experience in the upgrade and management of wastewater systems and recycled water systems, including treatment plants.
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams in the completion of successful projects.
- A tertiary degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
- Eligible for Chartered Professional Engineer status of the Institution of Engineers Australia or Australian Institute of Project Management.

Salary:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 6 $142,905 - $162,360 + superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
