Overview of role:

This role is part of the Asset & Operations business unit that underpins and enhances the Corporation’s ability to deliver on its purpose, values and drivers. The Wastewater Process Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and compliant operation of wastewater treatment processes within the Bendigo region.

This role works in close collaboration with the Wastewater Operations Manager to ensure seamless integration of process optimisation and daily operations management. The Wastewater Process Manager focuses on optimising treatment processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team of skilled professionals to deliver high-quality wastewater services.

Key Responsibilities:

As our Wastewater Process Manager you’ll be accountable for:

  • Oversee the performance and control of wastewater treatment processes to meet water quality standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve environmental outcomes.
  • Utilising technical and operational expertise to enhance the organisation's position in relation to the partnership contracts.
  • Ensure all wastewater processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports in a timely manner, including environmental compliance reports.
  • Work closely with the Wastewater Operations Manager to ensure coordinated management of wastewater facilities.
  • Supervise and guide a team consisting of one Process Operation Engineer.

About you:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Water Treatment Processes together with qualifications acquired through a tertiary degree in engineering, science  or other relevant discipline.
  • Extensive experience in water treatment operations and process management.
  • Proven track record of managing compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience leading and managing teams in a wastewater or similar operational environment.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and process control technologies.
  • A valid and current Australian workers’ rights.

Salary:

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5 $115,162 - $139,851 + superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
