Overview of role:

Coliban Water is embarking on an exciting transformation journey through the Coliban of the Future portfolio. This ambitious program will drive significant investment in people, processes, assets, and technology to meet the challenges of water security, population growth, and carbon neutrality.

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in leading and implementing business transformation projects, focusing on operational capability uplift, process improvements, and organisational change. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business, applying best-practice project management methodologies (Agile, PMBOK, Prince2) and human-centred design principles to deliver strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex business transformation projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Establish and guide cross-functional project teams, including business analysts, IT/OT specialists, and change managers.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, risk registers, budgets, and governance documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies and practices across the organisation.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring business alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Develop and manage vendor contracts, procurement processes, and supplier relationships.
  • Apply business analysis techniques to define project requirements, assess risks, and identify fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, leading cross-functional teams to deliver business transformation initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in project methodologies (Agile, PMBOK, Prince2) and business analysis techniques.
  • A track record of successfully delivering operational, technology, or process improvement projects in complex environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to navigate organisational complexity and drive change through collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a human-centred approach to project delivery.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, or a related field. Certifications in PMP, PRINCE2, or Business Analysis are desirable.

Salary

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5, $127,506 - $148,079 plus superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
