Job Description

Employment Term: Full-time, Fixed-term (5 Years)

Overview of role:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Manager Corporate & Assurance to become a key member of our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and drive transformational change. This trusted advisor to the Managing Director will oversee a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for leading functions across:

  • Finance
  • People & Capability
  • Safety
  • Information Technology
  • Commercial & Legal
  • Risk & Compliance
  • Corporate Secretary& Governance

The role involves the strategic planning, management, and control of services that support the organisation’s goals, ensuring business excellence and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Governance & Board Support
    Lead governance practices, support Board and Committee functions, and ensure regulatory compliance.

     
  • Finance
    Work closely with the CFO to manage financial sustainability, oversee reporting, and align with corporate objectives.

     
  • People, Capability & Safety
    Collaborate with the General Manager People & Capability to promote a culture of health, safety, and wellbeing, ensuring compliance with safety standards while fostering a diverse, inclusive, and high-performance workplace.

     
  • Information Technology
    Enable digital transformation by overseeing IT systems that meet corporate needs, ensuring data security and operational efficiency.

     
  • Risk & Compliance
    Lead risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

     
  • Commercial & Legal
    Oversee procurement and legal functions, ensuring value-for-money outcomes and expert legal advice.

About You
You will have:

  • Extensive executive leadership experience, ideally within the water industry or government.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, IT, finance, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA are desirable.
  • Proven experience in leading corporate service functions such as IT, HR, risk, and compliance.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience overseeing corporate governance, legal, and regulatory matters.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead teams to achieve high performance in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
